Valentine is an exuberant and resilient bundle of love. Even after being dumped by her owner, she retained her joyful spirit and affection. Valentine's owner dumped her in a horrible state of uncontrolled diabetes which caused her premature sight impairment. Valentine does see shadows but her other senses are so honed that she never has a problem finding you wherever you are. She's great at navigating around and has no fear or trepidation. Valentine is about 7 years old and approximately 9 pounds. She was emaciated as a result of her condition but has since started putting on weight. She's on 1 unit (the smallest amount) of insulin twice a day which is given by subcutaneous injection (just right under the skin) and it's such a tiny needle she doesn't even feel it. Valentine's most favorite place is in your lap. She LOVES to be carried around like the little princess she is. She gives sweet doggie kisses and will just curl up on your lap and snooze. This amazing angel needs a special home that's going to recognize what a truly precious and extraordinary little girl she is.
