I'd love to be your buddy!

Diamond is truly a diamond in the rough.  This poor girl was dumped in the shelter by her owners in a horrific matted mess and covered in foxtails.  She had a gaping wound on her back and puncture holes around her neck.  Obviously she was kept in a yard and was attacked by something and the people didn't want to deal with it.  That was a blessing for this sweet girl.  The shelter shaved her down, treated her wounds and took out multiple foxtails from both ears.  Poor Diamond was certainly traumatized from not only that ordeal but by being in the shelter.  When we got her out she was very skittish and just wanted to hide.  Within a few short days after receiving lots of love and TLC she came out of her shell and turned out to be one of the most loving playful dogs we've ever seen.  Diamond is a big girl at 32 pounds but is not fat.  Fortunately we have a before pic from the shelter so you can get an idea of how beautiful she will be when she grows out!  Diamond is still a little nervous about being walked outside on a leash and a little shy around new people but she quickly warms up after a couple of pets. She gets along great with other dogs and would be best with older dog savvy kids.
