I'd love to be your buddy!

Stevie is a pure-bred 6 year-old standard poodle who weighs 51 pounds.  Stevie is completely blind.  He was tragically turned into the Palmdale animal shelter because his owners were moving and could not take him.  Thankfully the shelter gave us a call and we were able to get Stevie to a foster home that very same day.  At first Stevie was terrified.  For the first few days, he would not walk on any type of flooring and refused to eat.  However, he is now walking in and out of his foster home, is eating and drinking with gusto and is giving his foster mom kisses.  Blind dogs adjust very quickly as their primary sense is SMELL, not sight.  They are capable of everything a sighted dog is with the exception of stairs.  There are many products out there for blind dogs and a large organization dedicated to ways to train a blind dog.  Being a poodle, Stevie is very smart and very sensitive.  He just needs a quiet and loving home with patient people who are willing to help him adjust so he can live a happy and full life.  The love and devotion you'll receive in return will be immeasurable.
