Blake is an adorable little Maltese who's 8 years young (acts like a 1 year old!) and weighs about 8-10 pounds.  He's a character, funny and super fun to play with, especially when it involves squeaky toys, ball tossing, or focusing on the goodies in a kong ball. He’s communicative and expressive with his voice. He’s also a snuggler - affectionate and loving, and happy to hunker in next to you and stay there as long as you do. Yet he is also independent and will wander off to his own spot. He’s got a lot of energy but also loves to just chill.  Blake loves to go for walks and approaches other small dogs happily wagging his tail, however he will bark and be defensive around big dogs.  He can have some resource guarding issues when he’s got hold of something in his mouth and growls to let you know to step back.  Blake is great in the car. He's the perfect pocket pooch and loves to explore new places.  Blake bonds very strongly with his person and can get protective if someone new approaches or if there are unfamiliar sounds.  He is an alpha dog so a dog savvy owner is important.  Blake loves to cuddle and is very devoted. He loves being brushed, and his silky hair is a pleasure to pet.  He's housesbroken and has had a dental, bloodwork and has all shots and is chipped.  Blake should be in an adult only home and would love to have a yard he can romp around in.
