Sally is a darling malti-poo who's about 5 years old and weighs 11 pounds.  She came into the shelter as a stray and had suffered severe trauma to her eye.  Because the shelter was not equipped to deal with it, Sally only had till the end of the day to be rescued!  Fortunately we were able to respond in time and got her directly to our vet who performed surgery that evening to remove the eye.  Sally is now healed
