Nikko is an adorable little Maltipoo (possibly some cocker spaniel in there) who's only 1 year old and weighs about 12 pounds.  Nikko had an owner who could no longer keep him and reached out to us.  He's incredibly affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled.  He's a gentle soul and very passive.  He's initially a little shy but quickly warms up once he gets a pet or two.  Nikko has become a lot more confident and outgoing since he's been with us and exposed to more of the world than he had been.  He has quickly gotten used to the leash although he gets a little spooked still with loud noises.  Nikko is great with other dogs and super gentle with kids.  With a little TLC and socialization Nikko will continue his journey to becoming a stellar canine citizen.
