I'd love to be your buddy!

Chucky is a handsome bichon/poodle mix that has had the unfortunate luck of being in the shelter twice in his short life.  The first time he was dumped in the shelter by his owner in 2021.  Then he was adopted by a family whose little kids tormented poor Chucky to the point the family finally turned him back to the same shelter a year later.  I'm thrilled we were able to get Chucky so he never again will be in a shelter.  I promised him his next home will be his forever home.  He's a sweet boy who's a little on the shy side when first meeting people. but given what he's been through, it's no surprise.  Chucky quickly warms up once he gets a few pets and words of encouragement.  Chucky enjoys going for walks and is pretty good on a leash. Chucky was very matted and the shelter shaved him down so he looks a little weird right now. but his beautiful coat will grow out in no time.  Chucky would be best in a home with older kids that is relatively calm but with people who are still active and like to include their dog in activities.
