I'd love to be your buddy!

Macky is a handsome Shih Tzu mix who's about 4 years old and weighs 16 pounds.  Macky was originally surrendered to the shelter by his owner in March of 2023.  We rescued him from there and he was eventually placed with a wonderful couple.  Unfortunately the husband passed and Macky became very protective of the wife.  We decided it would be best for Macky to find another home.  Macky loves to be near his person and can never get enough belly rubs. However, he has an independent side and can occupy himself with toys.  He's super fun and playful and always on the lookout for a game of fetch. What's unusual about Macky is he loves to swim!  So if anyone has a pool and is looking for another form of exercise other than walking, Macky would love to take a dip.  Macky gets along with cats and dogs and is great on a leash and does not react when he sees other dogs/people.  Macky is super smart, has had extensive training, and is well-behaved and housebroken.  Macky would do best in an adult only home.  If you're interested, please fill out the application on our site bichonsandbuddies.com.
