Charlie is an adorable Cockapoo girl who's two years old and weighs about 18 pounds. She had a horrible start when she was purchased as a puppy by a family who proceeded to relegate her to a garage and yard and never let her in the house. She lived in that miserable place until the husband told a coworker he was starting a new job and didn't want to keep her. Fortunately this kind woman took her in and got her spayed and shots and loved and cared for her for the last four months. Because she works two jobs and lives in an apartment she felt Charlie would thrive in a home that could give her more love and attention and help her blossom. When Charlie initially came to us she was very timid (as you can probably tell by the pictures) and spooked with loud noises when on a walk. She is good on a leash and is housebroken. Her forster mom and dad said she bonded with them quickly and loves belly rubs and gives gentle doggie kisses. She had never been around any other dogs and initially was scared of them but has now started showing interest in the small ones although she barks at the big ones. Overall Charlie is a sweet, quiet and mellow girl who craves human presence. It will be important for someone to be patient and willing to help her over the separation anxiety hump.
