I'd love to be your buddy!

Howie the homie is from one of the toughest parts of town that we’ve ever ventured into to rescue a dog. I got a call from a woman that this “fluffy” dog had been hanging out for weeks on the side of the house between her and the neighbor. They took turns giving it food but she wanted something better for him and that didn’t mean the local high kill shelter. Who knows how she got my number but once she told me the story I made arrangements to get him. As you can see by this before pic, poor Howie had not been taken care of for a very long time. The first day or two before we got him groomed he was withdrawn and timid but after he got that straight-jacket off he was a new dog! What emerged is the sweetest, calmest, most loving bichon cockapoo mix in the world! This temperment and behavior would make one believe he was someone’s beloved pet his whole life. He’s the quintessential example of the resiliance of dogs. Howie gets along well with other dogs and is good with kids. He’s a laid back guy who loves to play with stuffed toys, is great on a leash and not a barker. He was truly a diamond in the rough!
