Milo’s pictures speak volumes about his life so far. This little 2 year old bichon is about 15 pounds and clearly is a “mill” dog. Poor Milo obviously has never been socialized and is scared of people. Fortunately because he has such a sweet demeanor his fear does not manifest in snapping but just a petrified rigid stance and the “deer in headlights” look. Milo is responding to all the TLC he’s getting. When you hold him and pet him he stares into your eyes in utter disbelief over the attention and affection he’s receiving. For dogs like Milo the most important thing is that he go to a home with another dog so he can learn to trust and feel secure. They learn to be companion dogs by observing the confident loving nature of the resident dog. The most rewarding thing you’ll ever experience in your life is watching a mill dog’s personality blossom and the transformation from scared and withdrawn to confident and happy.
