I'd love to be your buddy!

Monkey really is a dog like no other.  He gets along with other dogs just fine, but we feel he likes people better.  He appears to enjoy being the only child,  not to say he doesn't like to play with our other dogs but he'd rather be with the kids and the adults.  He stays quietly in our general population pen and lets all the dogs play around him.  He doesn't really approach any of them or even us, but once he's approached he gives all of himself to whoever approaches him.  He is a little shy at first and given a few kisses on his head and a couple of pets and he responds beautifully.  He is approximately 1 1/2 years old with a mild to medium activity level, he just wants to sit quietly next to someone and relax.  He only needs a couple of toys to keep him entertained when he feels like it.  He  is a dog that we are happy to place in a family with kids and even dogs.  He's not a barker at all and is very self sufficient.
