I'd love to be your buddy!

Rainbow was originally hit by a car and left languishing in unbearable pain at a kill shelter.  She came to our attention in the nick of time and we rescued her just hours before she was put to sleep.  We thought for sure she would need a complicated surgery and even then it appeared she may never walk.  After caring for her and managing her pain for a week, to my amazement, Rainbow stood on all fours one day and  took a few wobbly steps. Our trusted vet said if Rainbow was able to bear weight on all 4 legs, then she may be able to gain strength and muscle through extensive rehabilitation and eventually the fractures would heal on their own. Never in all my years seeing crippled, disabled dogs have I ever witnessed something as incredible as this.  We're happy to report that Rainbow has completed her extensive physical therapy rehab and is not only walking but is able to run on all fours!  This amazing little angel has an equally amazing personality and you couldn't ask for a more cuddly lap dog.  Rainbow will sit in your lap for hours, happy as a clam, but when it comes time for a walk, those little legs could go forever.  Rainbow is a gregarious little girl but not unruly and is great with kids.  She gets along well with other dogs but she far prefers people, especially ones that give her lots of love and attention.  Rainbow is only one and a half years old and weighs about 10 pounds.
