I'd love to be your buddy!

Stewie is a handsome Bichon mix who's about 3 years old and weighs about 13 pounds.  He was such a matted mess when he came in to the shelter as a stray that they actually took the time to shave him down so he could at least move!  Clearly Stewie has had a hard past and he's a little shy at first, but after a couple of gentle pets and words of encouragement he'll roll on his back for a belly rub.  Stewie soaks up the love and attention - which is something he's obviously been deprived of for a while.  He's more of a people dog than a dog-dog - meaning he gets along with other dogs but would be happier as the "main squeeze" :)  Because of his troubled past Stewie has had some challenges to overcome regarding trust, but after being in a loving, nurturing foster home he has overcome that. He's still not a fan of grooming however our groomer is able to manage him.  He would be best in a quiet adult household.  Stewie has a mellow temperament and doesn't mind just 'chillin' while your at work.  You're guaranteeed to be greeted with a smile and wagging tail!  This sweet, loving guy will be a devoted companion.
